ABOUT

Sabrina Walch received her bachelor's degree in music performance in 2020 from New York University, where she studied bassoon with Marc Goldberg and took secondary lessons on clarinet, flute, oboe, and saxophone.

Sabrina was fascinated by the mechanics of musical instruments early on and started working in a bassoon repair shop when she moved to New York in 2016. Looking to further deepen and expand upon her knowledge, she took up an apprenticeship with Philadelphia-based clarinet technician Mark Jacobi

In 2022, Sabrina spent three months in Germany working and further honing her bassoon repair skills under the tutelage of the master craftsman Stephan Leitzinger, the maker of internationally-renowned Leitzinger bassoons and bocals, which you can now find in her shop.
